Our Veterans in CANADA DAY PARADE

All four Veterans, members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 15, ASM Abbotsford, were in the Parade driven in vintage military vehicles including a restored Canadian World War Two Armoured  Vehicle.

CYRIL HOLBROW World War Two

Cyril served in the Canadian 1st Infantry Division, 5th Brigade, with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals.

Cyril went ashore at JUNO Beach in the D-DAY Landings at Normandy, France, attached to the Calgary Highlanders Regiment.

He experienced heavy enemy fire when the Highlanders fought at the battle for Caen (pronounced Carn) and later with the Maisonneuve Regiment at the battle for Falaise.
