FIRST RESPONDERS RECEIVE
BIG THANK YOU
The Abbotsford Legion Branch 15 with the assistance of Darren Glencross, manager of SuperStore, hosted a luncheon by delivering trays with a variety of sandwiches, veggies, fruit and dessert, to the fearless firefighters, paramedics and police officers who risk their lives everyday for the safety and protection of members in our community.
Their service and efforts do not go unappreciated as they are the backbone of any village, town or city and we are proud to call them friends and neighbours.

at the main door to the police station.
The Firefighters
The picture of the Abbotsford Fire Rescue crew was taken at their training depot,
with many of the men on hand,
ready to have their lunch before starting a vigorous training session.
Sharon Rathbone and Wendy Schmidt proudly stand in the middle of this courageous group.
A total of fifty trays were delivered and the appreciation of these men and women was awesome.
I should mention the reason we are not in uniform in two of the pictures was because it was 33 degrees in the shade both days!!
Darren Glencross, the manager of the Real Canadian SuperStore in Abbotsford
who donated $100.00 to the Abbotsford Legion Branch 15. This donation greatly assisted
in the cost of the luncheons for the first responders put on by the local branch. He described
his donation as “the right thing to do” His donation was truly appreciated by all the
members of the branch.
