Military Police National Motorcycle Relay
Branch 15 president Robert Rohrer is seen presenting a cheque for $2500.00,which the branch donated, to Kyle Steel, a lieutenant with the Military Police National Motorcycle Relay group who attended the Abbotsford legion on Sunday, August 4th.
The riders rode across Canada collecting funds for the blind and they provided a motorcycle demonstration for our entertainment. In return for our donation, they presented our president, Robert Rohrer, with a wall plaque to say “thank you” to the legion for all of our assistance in their cause. (see below)
They also enjoyed a steak barbeque cooked by Robert Rohrer and his assistant Dan Bucar:
Unfortunately the correct photo was not available, so here is one of Dan Bucar (on right) with Roman Zalinko performing the same duty on July 1, after the Canada Day Parade. They barbequed a lot of hamburgers and hot dogs for a hungry crowd who appreciated every bit. Thanks to both of them for making the day a very tasty one. (Note you can still see photos from the Canada Day Parade by using its own drop down tab under “News”).
Each group of the Military Police Motorcycle Riders has their own mascot. This teddy bear is the one adopted by the National group of riders across Canada and it certainly seems to be enjoying his boat ride.
