It is indeed sad that another one of our long serving branch 15 members passed away on July 12, just about 3 months short of his 100th birthday. Not only did Cyril serve in WWII, notably in the D-Day Landings, but he devoted much time to giving talks in the local schools during the Remembrance Day period, and also spent many years volunteering at the Clayburn Museum for the Clayburn Historical Society, giving tours there. To read a fuller story story about Cyril in World War II and in local activities plus see some photos, please use the drop down “Cyril Holbrow Story” under the News tab on the Menu bar. Also under the “News” tab is the story, plus videos and photos, of Cyril receiving his Legion of Honour Medal, given by the French Government for those involved in the D-Day landings.
