    I hope this email finds you all well.

    First off I would like to say thank you for all of you who came out to our Snowball Event.  A good time was had by all.

    A couple of key dates to keep in mind this month………….

    Saturday February 10th……..come down and support our Ladies Auxiliary as they host their Valentine Tea at 10 am.

    Wednesday February 14th …….Valentine’s Day Dinner – sign up sheet at the bar.  $15.00/person.  Wendy will be preparing Baron of Beef and all the trimmings………….come on out the more the merrier.  Entertainment will be provided by Steve Hillis.

    Please note our General Meeting for February has been moved to the 24th of February.  Come on out as we will be voting on the By – Law changes your new executive are preparing.

    These by-law changes were available at the last general meeting.  I will send out a copy of them in a follow up email for your consideration.

    I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and are looking forward to a Happy New Year.

    Attached please see invitation for our Snow Ball on Saturday Jan. 27th.

    This is a Pot Luck event.  There is a sign up sheet down at the bar or you can email me or call the branch after noon Wednesday through Saturday.

    Please indicate what you are bringing.  We are looking for appetizers, main courses and dessert.

    I hope to see you all there, let’s start our year off right.

  • poppy-original It is with sadness to report that our comrade Frank Svenshek passed away on Christmas Eve, 2017.  Frank was a solid member of branch 15 and a good friend to many of us.

    He served on the executive for a number of terms, including some as Vice President.  Recently his illness caused him to spend less time with us and unfortunately he passed away on what was his 73rd Birthday.   Frank’s Obituary, courtesy of the Abbotsford News, is included here.   Click on the obituary to enlarge it.

    January 7th from 1pm – 4pm Installation of 2018 Officers and Honours & Awards Presentation ;

    January 13th at 11am Zone Literary Poster Judging ;

    January 27th from 7pm – 11pm Snow Ball – Pot Luck.  There will be a sign up sheet at the bar .

    I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I hope everyone has a great New Year in 2018 .
