During World War One, the Abbotsford Post published an Honour Roll of Abbotsford & District men who enlisted and those who were killed.  Yet some of these men have been “overlooked” and their names are not on the Abbotsford Cenotaph.  Come to the presentation on the evening of November 8 at the Clearbrook Library to learn about a number of these men, where they fought, died and were buried. Branch 15 Executive members Robert Rohrer, Frank Svenshek and Debbie Ward presented our 2016 bursary awards to some deserved students from Abbotsford Schools.

Long-time Branch 15 member, Frank Bauer, a veteran of World War II, passed away on October 12, just short of his 96th birthday.  His extensive service in the War and the medals that he won are explained very thoroughly in his obituary (see later).

Frank was at the recent Battle of Britain ceremony in Abbotsford.  One video in the Battle of Britain report shows Frank placing a wreath for the Veterans at this ceremony.
